Creating a collection

Collections are digital cookbooks, which can be published or used privately as personal reference books.

To create a collection, you must first create a free user account. To do this, click Login in the top right of the menu bar then click Sign Up.

Creating a collection
  • To create a collection, click the + icon in the top right corner of the menu bar and click Collection.
  • Enter the necessary fields:
    • Title is the only required field.
    • The remaining fields are optional. However, we recommend that you enter relevant Hashtags to help more people find your collection. We recommend at least three.
  • Add the Thumbnail Image. This is the image that will appear as the cover of your collection in a listing.
    • You can either drag and drop an image from your desktop into the placeholder or click the placeholder and select an image file from your computer.
    • The recommended aspect ratio is 1:1 (square).

Creating a collection
  • Click + Chapter to add sections to your collection. For example, in a desserts collection, you might want to have a ‘cakes’ section, a ‘cookie’ section and a ‘pie’ section.
  • Click + Page to add content to your sections. You will be shown a chooser window that lets you select a recipe, technique or blog post.
  • Click + Empty Page to create an editable blank page. For example, you might want to add an introductory page to your collection.
  • You can reorder chapters and content within chapters by dragging and dropping using the drag handle icon.

Previewing and publishing

  • You can preview your collection once you have entered the required fields.
  • Return to Edit Mode by pressing the pencil icon.
  • When you’re happy with your collection, click Publish. Use the Now option to publish immediately or use the Custom date field to control the order that your content appears in your profile page. Your profile page is in reverse chronological order.
  • Click Draft to make changes or take your recipe offline. Click Publish to once again make it findable and viewable by everyone.
