The Editor

The editor is very easy to use but there are certain things you should understand in order for you and your readers to get the most out of CooklyBookly.

The Editor

Link to content

The Editor

This allows you to link to another piece of CooklyBookly content. After clicking on the icon you will be shown a chooser that lets you select a recipe, technique, blog post or gallery image. The link will appear as a highlighted, underlined piece of text.

Inserting images and videos

The Editor
  • You can display images and videos within your content.
  • To add images or videos to a piece of content, click the Inline Content icon in the editor’s toolbar and select an image from your gallery. Click Insert Item to place it within your text at the position of the cursor.
  • Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop an image from your desktop into the text editor box at the position of the cursor.
  • Do not attempt to resize the image within the editor. Your theme automatically resizes the image for you.

Unit Conversion

The Editor
  • This powerful feature lets you enter a value that will auto-convert between US and Metric units.
  • Click the Unit Conversion icon, enter the value and unit and click Insert
  • Once clicked, the value will appear in a highlighted bubble like this.

Headings and normal text

The Editor
  • Do not create headings by highlighting text and making it bold or any other hacks.
  • Instead, we recommend that you format your text correctly for headings. This is done using the dropdown list displayed below.
